For many business owners, December is one of the busiest months of the year. Between personal commitments and wrapping up last-minute proposals or client projects, year-end can be overwhelming for even the most organized professionals.

Let’s face it; year-end is certainly not for the faint of heart. It is easy to get distracted with so much to do and stop working “on” your business.

December is one of the best months to strengthen and build relationships with clients, prospects, and influencers.

Take a few minutes to review these three low-cost and easy-to-implement strategies to help you stay focused on your business while still enjoying the “most wonderful time of the year.”

1. Show Your Clients Some Love:  There is no need to go into debt sending gifts to your clients. Instead, grab your client list and start dialing. Why not place a call to simply say, “I appreciate your business and look forward to working with you in the new year.” Be sure to leave a voicemail if they don’t pick up.

2. Break Through the Noise:  Consider sending New Year cards instead of the standard holiday cards that only receive a glance. By doing something a bit different, your message stands out from the crowd.

3. Block Out Time to Plan:  I’m not talking about your business plan—I’m talking about YOUR plan. Take a couple of hours before month-end to revise your vision board and to write down your goals. Come up with a way to be accountable for achieving what you really want out of life. BTW, the most successful people in the world point to being in a Mastermind Group. Joining a Mastermind Group is one of the most efficient and quickest ways to level up your personal and professional life.

“Deliberately seek the company of people who influence you to think and act on building the life you desire.” ~Napoleon Hill
